The Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential is the gold standard for nutrition professionals in the United States. RDNs provide personalized, evidence-based medical nutrition therapy to help individuals optimize health, manage chronic conditions, and prevent disease.
To earn the RDN credential, a practitioner must complete a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics as well as a master’s degree (required for programs completed after 2024). They must also complete a supervised dietetic internship, which includes over 1,000 hours of supervised practice across clinical, community, and foodservice settings, and pass the Registration Examination for Dietitians. To maintain the credential, RDNs must complete 75 continuing professional education (CPE) credits every five years, ensuring they stay current with the latest evidence-based nutrition practices. -
For self-pay clients, fees are $159 for an initial session and $129 for follow-up sessions. You also have the option to purchase a bundle of six sessions to be used within 90 days (recommended: every 2 weeks) for a one-time cost of $600.
I also accept insurance, HSA, and FSA for nutrition services. -
Yes! I am currently in network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield/Anthem, MedCost, and UnitedHealthcare.
If you’d like help verifying your coverage, email sam@eatquilibrium.com with photos of the front and back of your insurance card along with your date of birth.
If I’m not in network with your plan, we can provide a superbill (an itemized medical receipt) that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. You will still pay for your sessions out of pocket at the time of service, but if your plan includes out-of-network benefits, your insurance provider may reimburse you directly. Because coverage varies, it’s always best to confirm your specific benefits with your insurance provider.

To respect everyone’s time and keep schedules running smoothly, we have the following policy:
Late cancellations (less than 24 hours’ notice) and no-shows for initial sessions: $159 fee
Late cancellations (less than 24 hours’ notice) and no-shows for follow-up sessions: $129 fee
Clients are asked to sign a form agreeing to this policy before beginning services. To protect both parties, clients also complete a credit card authorization form and keep a card on file. Reminders are sent leading up to each session to help avoid missed appointments.

At this time, I offer telehealth sessions only. All appointments are conducted through secure, HIPAA-compliant video software to protect your privacy and ensure a safe, confidential experience.

The number of sessions depends on your goals and preferences. Some clients choose a single session, while others prefer ongoing support. The majority of my clients schedule follow-ups every other week to stay accountable, while some meet weekly for added support and others check in monthly or every other month. Ultimately, the frequency is up to you - but in my experience, clients who follow up every week or biweekly tend to see the best results!
-
Congratulations on taking the first step toward feeling your best! The only thing you’ll need to do beforehand is complete your new client intake paperwork.
All paperwork is required at least 24 hours before your appointment and usually takes just 10-15 minutes to complete. If you need any help with any of this, email me at sam@eatquilibrium.com and I’ll be happy to support you! -
During our first session, I’ll start by learning about your health, fitness, and nutrition history, as well as your reasons for scheduling the appointment. From there, we’ll discuss any relevant education and explore strategies to help you reach your goals.
Every session is individualized, so the exact flow may vary depending on your needs. My goal is to use my knowledge and experience to guide you toward achieving the results you’re looking for. -
While yes, I can help create meal plans, I generally guide clients away from rigid meal plans, as they’re often a temporary solution.
A meal plan can provide structure and guidance, but following the same plan week after week for months or years can be challenging. My approach focuses on teaching you how to make sustainable choices that fit your lifestyle. Think of it as “learning to fish” rather than being handed a fish: I teach you how to eat in a way that helps you reach your goals and maintain them long-term. -
While I am a NASM-certified personal trainer, personal training and workout plans are not included in 1-on-1 nutrition counseling sessions. If you’re interested, this service can be added a la carte. If this is something you are looking for, please reach out using our contact form to learn more!
