Dietitian-Approved Recipe Resources I Actually Recommend

Last Updated: May 2026

One of the most common questions I get from clients is “Where do you actually find recipes that are healthy and realistic?”

Because let’s be honest: the internet is OVERFLOWING with recipes. Some are overly restrictive, unnecessarily complicated, or require a laundry list of 14 specialty ingredients you’ll use once and never touch again.

So instead of starting from scratch every week, I wanted to share a running list of my favorite recipe websites and creators that I genuinely recommend as a registered dietitian.

These are the sources I come back to again and again for meals that are:

  • Balanced

  • Satisfying

  • Approachable

  • Flavorful

  • Realistic for busy schedules

I’ll continue updating this list over time as I discover new faves!

My Favorite Meal Planning Hack

One strategy I recommend to clients all the time: Create a Pinterest board for recipes you want to try.

As you make them:

  • Remove the recipes you wouldn’t repeat

  • Save your favorites to a separate “Tried & Loved” board

Over time, you’ll build a personalized collection of meals you already know you enjoy which makes meal planning so much easier and helps avoid the “what should I make this week?” spiral.

Believe It or Not…

Healthy eating doesn’t require finding the “perfect” recipe or cooking elaborate meals every night.

Sometimes it’s simply about having a handful of trusted resources you can return to consistently.

I’ll keep updating this list with new finds over time, so feel free to bookmark this page and check back later for more dietitian-approved recipe inspiration!
